Born and raised in Washington DC, Juan began mixing live concerts for local bands while still in high school.  By his senior year, Juan’s passion had become evident and his path was clear.
Juan Moved to NY to attend the Institute of Audio Research, and then went on to attend NYU where he received a Bachelors degree in Music/Technology.
After graduating from NYU, Juan began his career with a company called Phone Programs. A high volume shop Juan honed his skills doing sound design for hundreds of phone based programs and promos.
In 1994, the opportunity Juan had been hoping for came his way and he joined NY shop Pomann Sound. Now a Supervising Engineer and Editor Juan could broaden his talent and focus more on creative excellence working on animated shows such as: “Doug” and “Little Bill”. Pomann also provided the ability for Juan to be supervising ADR editor for many Disney movies and series including  “Lion King 2” and “Kim Possible” .
Yet it was In between doing sound design and mixing for long format, that Juan found his greatest joy working on many successful television and radio campaigns for Dunkin Donuts, Nikon, Fosters, and Arbys to name a few. Juan discovered he really enjoyed packing all of the skills mastered in long format work to make thirty seconds of audio really stand out.  In 2004, Juan was recruited by New Art Miami (then Manhattan Transfer-Miami) to join our staff. He has since built an extensive client base and enjoys working on campaigns for ATT Wireless for The Bravo Group, and Ford for JWT.
As ADR engineer for portions of Beverly Hills Chihuahua, The Good Sheppard, and The Departed and Sound Designer/Mixer for the documentaries; Cocaine Cowboys, and Airplay, Juan finds the diversity of New Art Miami a perfect fit.
Indicative of his talent and extraordinary client relations, Juan says; “I love to paint with sound and If I can make the client smile by doing it, I¹ve made my day.”
