A graduate of Ecole Les Ailes (Flight Academy) in Geneva, Switzerland and fluent in four languages (French, English, Spanish and German) Patrick has become south Florida’s premiere colorist. His background and road to this position is every bit as rich as the pictures he now produces.
Before receiving his commercial pilot’s license in 1988, Patrick had designed press kits for the SIEL in Paris and been assigned to photograph the Golden Rose Festival and Jazz Festival in Montreux. Soon these divergent paths would lead Patrick to choose his ultimate passion, and art would win over science.
After working as a technician, producer, and sound & video engineer for Club Med and Club Med Cruise line Patrick met his future wife and settled in Mexico, and quickly put his audio engineering skills to work for Mexican broadcasters Televisa and Radiopolis as well as OCESA, mixing concerts for Kool & The Gang, Tears For Fears and Barry White.
By 1994 Patrick was Manager of Audio Engineering for Intersound a US audio facility in Mexico. While supervising other audio engineers, recording and mixing ADR for many feature films from Paramount Pictures, Patrick continued to develop his talents as a photographer.
New Art Digital in Mexico, hired Patrick in 1997 and it was there that Patrick would transition from audio to color correction and quickly build a reputation and client following as a colorist.
By 1999, BVI in Miami (which later became Manhattan Transfer Miami) had heard enough from many of its clients to recruit Patrick to join them as a Senior Colorist.
Patrick quickly became Miami’s most requested colorist and maintains outstanding relationships with his clients still today. Patrick has now worked on virtually every big name advertiser present in the Hispanic market. Coca-Cola, Mercedes, MTV, Honda, Polar, Colgate, McDonalds and so many more have been the mainstay of Patrick’s body of work. Music videos for Carlos Vives and Cabas, both nominated for Best Music Video at the Grammy’s among many other artists have provided a pleasant mix.
In May 2008, New Art Digital purchased Manhattan Transfer Miami, becoming NEW ART MIAMI, and Patrick was reunited with the company that gave him his start more than a decade ago.
