Oscar Martinez
Oscar Martinez is a native of Valencia, Spain. A graduate in Technical Engineering and Telecommunications Systems from the Universidad de Valencia EPSG, Spain, with specialties in AutoCAD, Discreet Flame and EDCINE Film digital technology, Oscar promises to become the lead specialist and artist working in Non-Linear Color Grading in Miami. Oscar’s keen sensitivity to color, visual balance and composition have earned him recognition from very important award competitions in Spain, in both long and short formats. Motion pictures, short films, music videos and commercials have been part of his inventive DNA throughout his career. His curriculum is flooded with lots of very recognizable work such as: “The Man Who Sold The World” and “Art of Stealing” films which have been recently released, Alejandro Sanz’ “Tu No Tienes Alma” music video, “Más Allá De La Alambrada,” a documentary winner of the first price at the Valladolid Film Festival, “El Enigma Del Chico Croqueta,” a short film winning a Goya in Spain, “Con Que La Lavaré” a Sundance Film also receiving an Oso De Plata award in Berlin. After opening and successfully working as Technical Director at Kincine, Oscar Martinez also worked as a Colorist and VFX Artist for his Client Jaleo Film for almost ten years. His extraordinary work and creative talents in post-production contributed to the success of films such as “15 Días Contigo” and “Déjate Caer,” featured at the Málaga Film Festival in 2009. Oscar Martinez is undoubtedly one of the most creative and talented Colorists and VFX artists who worked in Spain. He has a truly extraordinary artistic vision, which is rare to find, now available at New Art Miami.Oscar Martinez joins New Art Miami as the Non-Linear Colorist in 2010, fulfilling his long-time dream to work here and apply his craft to a broader range of filmmakers, cinematographers and advertisers. His unique talents extend beyond the usual and customary film grading into an entirely different realm of artistic expression and vision.
